I’m almost finished with my cakes for the weekend so that means the hubby and I get to see a movie tonight! We’re going to see “The Avengers” and it made me remember this Captain America Shield cake I did some time ago. This is cake is covered in fondant, with fondant/modeling chocolate “accessories”. I delivered this cake to a river boat (where the reception was held) and I later heard from the photographer that she didn’t know it was cake. She kept asking where the groom’s cake was and the event staff kept telling her “it’s the shield”. She kept answering “There’s not a cake anywhere near the shield”. I think only cake people can appreciate that!! :)

Haha, great story. I love your work Jennifer, I keep coming back to browse through your pictures again and again. Your buttercream tutorials are DA BOMB! Your round cake BC tute was the first video I watched when I started decorating. I still watch it… I think half because I adore your accent! Sending cake <3 from down under :)
