And here’s the ballerina cake for a 7th birthday! This cake was my second commission and I am pretty happy with the overall result. I must say that it probably is my second most elaborate cake. It took me quite long to do the ruffles of the bottom layer, as it was the first time I attempted this technique. I had to take it off a couple of times and redo it, but finally I managed to get a pretty good result.

I made it the cake so as to remind of the dress of a ballerina as the top layer at the back is like a corset with lace and a bow.
