40th birthday cake for a man working in hotel development and very much into design and architecture. Brief was clean, linear and modern with his favourite architect being Kengo Kuma. I got crossed eyed putting together the zillion fondant pieces for the bottom tier but I think it was well worth it! The invitation contained elements of woodgrain and honeycomb hence the reason for incorporating these. I’ve had my eye for a long time on the gorgeous handmade toppers from Glistening Occasions and this was the perfect occasion to use it.

Wow!! I thought the bottom was printed wafer paper at first – you’ve done it so perfectly :-D:-D:-D

Thank you Heavenly Treats by Lulu! in hindsight I see a few errors which if can fix next time if I get to repeat the design.. I dislike the uneven top edge :(
