Green, gold & white mini cakes

Green, gold & white mini cakes

Hi all,

I’m so sorry I’ve been away these past few days (weeks?), it’s just been so busy here – I’m trying to reorganise the house, assemble new cabinets to keep my ever-growing cake supplies in (6 days in and still can’t figure out how to make the doors actually meet in the middle (kill me now)), book a holiday, figure out how to register as a business (yup, it’s going that way now – if I can ever figure out how to do it lol (help)) and a bunch of other stuff. I’ve just worked through the backlog of notifications here, hope I didn’t miss anyone!

In the middle of the chaos with household items and flat-pack furniture parts strewn all over the floors (we still have some hinges spare, I’m sure that’s not a good thing? :/) I had to break away to do something cakey. I guess the creative juices built up and needed some kind of an outlet. So here we are :)

These are 6 2" by 2" mini cakes, covered in fondant, with fondant embellishments and then hand-painted in gold and green. The colours were inspired by the silk flowers you can see in some pics, and I used some moulds I made myself for the first time :)

Hope you like them! TFL
