The story of this cake begins a year before it was made. A stray comment put a thought in my head and one year later I got to realize it. I didn’t know anything personal about this man (he is a former colleague, he was leaving and this was one of my ‘I like you so you can have cake’ cakes) so I asked two managers what they thought he would like on a cake and quick as a flash one of them said the name of his partner. The other thing he liked was all things army. The hidden dog tag has his partners initials and a heart embossed on it.
