The client wanted a football cake that was a little different from a shirt or ball or pitch etc, so I suggested as it was Liverpool that I recreate the famous gates with their Motto ’You’ll Never Walk Alone’ after the song they all sing. And the figure is Steven Gerrard. I am not a football fan and for some reason left this cake till the last minute and ended up doing the whole thing from bake to finish in a day and night. Very naughty of me and I am regretting it as there are a few flaws and it was a very late one. :/ I used a handy trick with the football using lots of little balls stuck on to a big ball and then you roll it, I saw a tutorial of it somewhere but I forgot where I saw it sorry.
