I like this, how is it done? Is the yellow fondant or buttercream?

Hi, thank you. I cannot take any credit for the design or idea. I am a member of mycakeschool.com and there is a video tutorial on how to do it. It’s actually white chocolate! I just executed it ;o)

I’m sorry, that was not very helpful at all! The way to do this is to get some acetate and measure it to the size of your cake. I buy the rolls at craft supply stores and cut them down to size. For this cake I measured it a tad taller than my cake. All you have to do is lay out your acetate and pipe out a pattern with melted chocolate. You have to work quickly. Wait a few minutes for it to start to harden and wrap it around your cake. Secure with a piece of tape and put in the freezer for about 5 minutes. Take it out and gently remove the acetate. It’s so easy and so cool!
Have your say...
