I made this watercan/flowery cake for an engagement party. I took my inspiration from a cake made by Whitecrafty posted in CakesDecor.com and added my own personal touches. The engaged couple looks “similar” to the little characters – at least I hope they do… he’s holding an engagement ring I made out of wire and a tiny stone and she’s sitting on a park bench all surprised at the proposal. I added piping gel to the water spout to resemble a drop of water.
This is a coconut cake with a cream cheese-coconut filling. The cupcakes are in clay pots and are covered with a layer of coconut filling and Oreo cookies.
All decorations are made with gumpaste and Royal icing. Thank you, Whitecrafty for giving me such a fun idea for this engagement cake!
