Was supposed to be a last minute sheet cake for my nephew using leftover toppers from my son’s birthday… I have been unwell for ages and not concentrating (that’s why it was supposed to an “easy” sheet cake) but for some strange reason I only made one batch of batter, I had originally put out enough eggs for 2 batches – and even when I filled the pan I still didn’t register that there wasn’t enough!

So anyway the sheet cake turned out quite flat!! (Surprise haha!) I didn’t have the energy to bake again so I cut in half and pretended like I meant to torte and fill the whole time! ;)

My nephew was really happy this afternoon and now I am enjoying a rest with a cuppa xoxo

P.s. I could not decide if I liked White or Black background so I posted both!

So sorry you have been feeling unwell Naomi but you have still managed to pull off a wonderful cake for your lucky nephew. Am hoping I can channel your strength today as I am feeling rough and probably should stay in bed but I have to make a horrible spiderman cake! :-(

6 weeks with an ongoing chest infection – everyone around me is sick of hearing me cough or complaining about my cough haha!!! Hopefully a few more early bedtimes and I will beat it xoxo
