Pink, bright and beautiful was the brief for this cake. Sounds easy, but it still took me ages to think of a design. Lol. So, I decided to have a go at some new techniques that I’ve seen around on many gorgeous cakes, these included the gold sequins and wafer/rice paper flowers. I was really pleased with the wafer flowers, they looked bright, modern and I had two lovely flowers in 30 minutes without having to wait for drying time.

The combination of hot weather and food colouring to get the bright colours was a bit of a nightmare, nothing seemed to be drying, but thankfully things were hard enough to just hold their shape. Roll on winter, so much easier. Never thought I’d actually look forward to cooler/colder weather. Lol
