Hi, I am Austin Vadayatt, husband, partner and Ardent admirer supreme of Anna Austin. I wanted to introduce this cake in my own words because of my immense pride in all her work and this one in particular .

Just take a look at it, this is easily one of the most tedious yet satisfying projects she has taken up, which left her drained, shaken and tired but elated at the same time. My eyes roamed over the perfectly poised pair of birds, their mutually aware stance, and the way their heads craned as if trying to pick up each other’s thoughts….

Love, clearly etched on to the figures shone through each inch of the cake. It is this quality of subtly transferring an emotion into the placement of figurines that endears me to the absolutely fantastic world of Cake Canvas.

The magnificent peacock is one of the most stunning pieces ever to be carved out of fondant (not kidding !! I did a hundred image search to check out something similar) Its tail sweeping its way down from the top tier in a divine cascade of colors to the third layer at the bottom. Each complexly colored feather was painted by those hands for which fondant bows down in awe.

A lot of time was spent to make sure that no effort was spared to infuse perfection in this beautiful sculpture. Check out the eyes of both the birds, see how they differ in temperament for the male and female. That is the kind of attention that goes into the DNA of a true artist.

How do you live with a genius? Someone who turns out mind blowing works of art which are the cynosure of the eyes of an art aficionado and at the same time a fusion of chocolate cake and heavenly ganache that shakes up the very core of each taste bud of an epicure?

I smile, thank god for my luck and keep the mouth from gaping open in complete awe whenever I am in her presence.
