I was asked if I could make a cake for one of the regulars of a local pub who was celebrating his 60th birthday. Ken has been a regular for years, always stands in the same spot and always drinks a certain brand of lager. I used a photo of the back of the bar to create an edible image for the backdrop, the beer pumps feature the beers sold in the pub and I featured photos of his family and friends around the bar. The stereotypical barmaid I crafted was just a bit of fun and in no way represents any of the barmaids who work in the pub!!!
