Super fun cake that was right up my alley, since I’m a total 80’s rocker chick, & Def Leppard is one of my addictions. And even MORE fun, it’s leopard print INSIDE too!

I wrapped the sides of the cake with edible images of Def Leppard’s most famous album covers, & on top is the Union Jack flag which is featured prominently in everything they do, created from modeling chocolate. I hand-cut her name in the same type of lettering as Def Leppard’s famous brand. The bottom border is hand-painted leopard print. The MTV ‘spoof’ showing her 40th birthday is modeling chocolate & the guitar is an edible image on gumpaste of a real guitar signed by Phil Collen, where he also wrote ‘Rock of Ages’.

As I mentioned, the inside is also leopard print, which is created using white, dark chocolate, & light chocolate cake batters. This cake is 7 inches tall! The leopard technique creates very thick layers. Chocolate Silk buttercream filling, dark chocolate ganache, & covered in fondant. I had WAY too much fun with this one!
