Surprise wedding cake!

Surprise wedding cake!
Surprise wedding cake!

It’s always fabulous when we are allowed to have free reign on our cake designs, or so we think, until we actually have to get on with it.

This wedding cake was a challenge because neither the bride or groom had any input on it, nor Infact did they know anything about it. So, it was extremely difficult to design a cake for a couple, that hopefully they would like, but without being able to ask them what kind of wedding they were having. The actual wedding was also a surprise for the bride (I do hope she said yes). The groom arranged it all, even buying the bride her wedding dress. (I hate to think what I would have been asked to wear had my husband done this). The details of the wedding were all very closely guarded as the groom didn’t want the bride to find out. It was the groom’s sister in law who asked me to make the cake. It was their present to the couple. I understand that the groom had just intended to get a Victoria sandwich cake from the supermarket. As I couldn’t ask any questions, I decided that it was better to go for simple, and elegant. I’m still waiting to see if the couple actually did like the cake. I feel like I’m waiting for exam results! Anyway, hope you like it. Much love to you all. Sam

Beautiful Sam… I’m sure the couple will have loved this …. I know too well that waiting game. :)

You must never limit your challenges, instead you must challenge your limits

Well, there are surprises and then there are SURPRISES! I don’t think that I would be too happy, but your cake is beautiful so lets hope that the dress matches it! xx
