Peacock Feathers For An Indian Wedding!

Remember the Carlos Lischetti inspired runaway groom with his demure Indian bride? Well, she led him by the lapel of his suit jacket to the top of this three tiered Indian themed wedding cake featuring painted peacock feathers. The ‘hairs’ of each feather were depicted by fine brush strokes in different shades of teal and green and then accented with 24K gold lustre paint for a rich lustrous look. This was Polly’s first attempt at free hand painting on fondant using a very fine brush so you can guess how long she took to complete it. Also, not to mention how many times she erased her painted work and started all over again at each tier. Lol!

Hope you like it and thanks for looking!
