This is only the 2nd cake I’ve ever made, decided to go all out and see what I could do for my Mum’s birthday. It did take me a while and I rolled the fondant too thin so it tore in places, but I managed to hide any mistakes and was really pleased with the end result. I had never made fondant figures/birds before and didn’t have the proper tools to make the cake but I really learned alot – and my Mum was happy which is what really mattered! :)
