Originally made for the International Handcraft Exposition in Lisbon 2014, this cake won the first prize for the professional categorie with the subject “Arabic influences in portuguese lands”.

It quickly became one of my favourite cakes from all time, even without knowing I would win the first prize, due to its complexity and all the time spent in the details.
