Linda, Geoff and Fiancé Shaun ordered this cake as a Get Well surprise for a very special young woman called Sophie. She’s had quite a big operation recently to help her heart to work better.
She’s an incredible girl with a fantastic outlook on life so I know she’ll soon be back on form.
The brief was to make a cake with purple and black which are her favourite colours on a background of white…. and this is what I came up with……….
It’s buttery lemon sponge cake ,homemade lemon curd and vanilla buttercream with ginger preserve folded through.
I hope this puts a smile on her face, and I’m looking forward to making her Wedding cake later in the year.
