Sweet 16 Animal Print

Cake by Linda Wolff posted 385 days ago 1457 views 1 time favorited 2 comments Add to Favorites

This is a marble cake that I had made for my grandniece’s birthday. I poured the batter into the pans one tablespoon at a time alternating the chocolate and yellow right smack in the middle of the pans allowing the batter to spread naturally. This way it resembled a zebra print pattern when the cake was cut into. The cheetah spots were hand painted with food paste colors, but the zebra stripes were cut from fondant. The sweet 16 lettering was made using gum paste.

Thank you Gail. I have another cheetah cake coming up for a graduation. Not the top tier, just the bottom and cupcakes to go with. (I hate doing cup cakes! ugh!)

Have your say...
