Cake I made for my birthday yesterday.
Bottom tier is Baileys & White Choc Mud cake with White Choc ganache, and top tier is Lolly Cake with Milk Choc ganache.
The pink milk glass cake stand was a present from hubby and the kids.
As you can see I love the colour pink ;-)
Inspired by the many ruffle cakes on this site and flickr.
Flower made using Inspired By Michelle tutorial.

Happy Birthday! Your cake is lovely!
Gorgeous! I love the cake and the cake stand!! Happy belated birthday!
Hi Alaroch. I used Americolour Fuchsia for both the cake and flower. The flower is the true colour, and the cake was made with a few drops to get a lighter colour.
Lolly cake isn’t actually cake at all, it is more of a slice. It’s very popular in New Zealand and seems to becoming more popular to have as a top tier on a wedding cake. Its melted butter and condensed milk, crushed malt biscuits and then chopped up eskimo lollies (which are like fruit puffs), I also added chopped up liquorice allsorts. I then pressed it into my baking tin and put in the fridge to set, but it is normally rolled into a log or pressed into a slice type tin and then shredded coconut over top.
LOVE this cake. Beautiful!
What a stunning cake Miriam and I can’t believe it was your first time in top 3! Your work is gorgeous! Love the idea of the lolly cake…brings back fond memories of home :) xxx
