So…. Jane asked me if I could do a 50th birthday cake for Pete – a Land Rover!! They go off-roading as a hobby and the Landy is his pride and joy. I’ll try says me, not ever having done a vehicle cake before!! Oh, and can you make it orange with sparkly flecks in it – ok says I.

So, armed with a couple of photos, off I went and this is the result. I’m vaguely happy with it except that I imagined it would be more realistic and the lines a bit more precise!! It was SO difficult. I’ve included a couple of piccies of the early stages too.
