Ruffled Communion Cake

My Goddaughter Ava, who happens to also be my neice received her First Holy Communion this past weekend. She is as girly girl as they come and wanted a special cake for her special day. She searched online with the help of her mom and came up with a few designs..she really liked one cake by Pink Cake Box that had the cross painted in the background and the name piped on top. (so that’s where that inspiration came from). But I knew her theme was dainty, lavenders, pinks a touch of green and her dress was ruffled….so I promised to wow her and this is what I came up with. I really wanted to try the ruffles too…Very happy with how this turned out and even happier to see her face light up when she first saw the cake. All for you Miss Ava…xo
