3 tiered cake with gumpaste figures Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tinman and Toto inside a wicker basket ( modeling chocolate). The emerald city is isomalt, I made a mold out of skewers and colored the isomalt green.
The Hot Air Balloon was made with a styrofoam egg covered in fondant, and painted. The purple tornado was also styrofoam and covered in fondant and painted.
The scary tree were made of modeling chocolate and hand formed. This cake was a lot of fun to make and won 2nd place @ " It takes a Cake" cake show and also placed 2 nd place at the North Dallas Cake Show!
