Star Wars Cake

This is a very special cake for a sweet 7 year old boy. He loves Star Wars Legos and wanted a cake to match the super fun theme of his birthday party. This was my first attempt at Lego figures and I had so much fun! I was limited on the detail of the cake due to the budget, but I think it turned out alright. This is a 2 layer 8in and 2 layer 6in red velvet cake filled and covered in cream cheese frosting. The top 6in cake is shaped into a giant Lego. I used fondant to make the stars, Star Wars logo, the number 7, the mini Legos, the light sabers, and the Lego characters. To make the Lego characters, I used an ice tray mold that was suggested by Way Beyond Cakes by Mayan. They aren’t perfect, but I’m proud of them for my first try!
