When I decided to make a 60th birthday cake for my brother-in-law this weekend I thought long and hard about what to do. He likes golf, he cycles – yes, I could do that but then it came to me. He has spent most of the time I have known him painting and re-painting every room in their house and is now doing the same for his daughters. This is Ray’s cake! The paintbrush is gum paste, the red paint is candy melts and the board was airbrushed.
