This is my postman pat birthday cake, featuring Jess – the black and white cat! It is an 8" tripple chocolate cake, for a little boys 2nd birthday.

The lady who ordered this cake had ordered one for her daughters birthday at the end of the month and through crossed wires and some confusion I ended up with the dates for each cake mixed up So when on the night of delivery it turned out I had made the wrong child’s cake! I have never panicked so much in my life. I stripped the cake back and recovered it and made everything you see on the cake in the 5 hours I had that night. The cake was picked up the following morning and all was well. The recipient loved it and so did her little boy!

Definitely my most stressful cake to date!
