Can’t beat a bit of “Only Fools”..…….in cake. The request was for an Only Fools car with Del boy and Rodney, but when I was told it was for a five year old was a little surprised, and then I thought hey why not. As the cake progressed it provoked conversation about when my daughter was little and my dear Mum was alive with all of us watching the Only Fools and Horses Christmas specials………oh how we laughed. So really not surprised that it crosses all generations and is still madly funny and makes me lol today. Had a slight problem with after finishing the cake having to dust with edible dirt as it goes right against the grain, as a cake makers main aim is getting the cake to look as crisp and clean as they can. Anyway this cake is made of chocolate sponge and chocolate buttercream with everything being edible, but think I would have trouble eating Del and Rodney as they are very cute. Del, Rodney cute….never thought I would use those words in one sentence but they are. So Max have a lovely Jubbly Happy Birthday today. Cushty Rodney Cushty!!!! Cut Above Cakes
