I made this cake for my Dad, my grandfather and my husband from my kids for a fathers day dinner. I used a round cake for the top of the ribbon and for the bottom I made a small sheet cake and after it was cooled cut two strips of the cake for the ribbon strings. I tinted buttecream icing blue and iced the cake and for the top border of the round cake made a ruffle effect. I then wrote the message with white icing and did a shell border around the whole cake. The Dads loved it:)
