My quirky, gorgeous, funny boy usually has this hat glued to his head and decided he wanted it in cake form too to celebrate his 9th birthday! He’s featured wearing said hat in the extra photo!

I couldn’t persuade him to add anything to make it more interesting, he wanted his trilby and just his trilby! He chose his lettering and board decoration etc… I tried to recreate the fabric look and make it as life like as possible for him.

Think of me tonight as I entertain three extra 8 and 9 year old who are sleeping over! Rex’s birthday is Easter Sunday but he wanted his cake today to share with his friends.

Wow Mel! Brilliant texture, looks just like the real thing! Rex looks really chuffed with it, didnt he want a minecraft cake? ;-)
