This cake captures a tender moment between Prince Eric and Ariel from the Disney movie The Little Mermaid. Both Eric and Ariel are made with gum paste covered in modeling chocolate and fondant details. Their faces are partially hand painted with food coloring. Sebastian the crab and Flounder the fish are made from fondant and gum paste. The rock Eric is sitting on is modeled out of Rice Crispies Treats and covered in marbled fondant. The cake itself is decorated in Buttercream with am ombré effect meant to mimic the sea / ocean water. This was for a little girl’s birthday at an Aquarium.
