Black and White

“Jeffrey loves black and he loves plaid, ” Jeffrey’s mother told me as she was ordering the cake. Oh, my gosh, I think, Black, really?

This cake kind of evolved into what you see here. I started with the black plaid and went from there. Because I am a rainbow and butterflies kind of girl, I had to plop some color on this cake. The red roses did the trick by adding some contrast and soft lines to the otherwise dark, bold lines.
