We were asked to make a hamburger cake this week and it was our first one. We found some great pictures of a hamburger cake here She even explains how she made it. It made it so much easier to create mine.
We made it all out of fondant, there’s no modeling chocolate.
The lettuce was dusted first and then we painted over it with a mixture of corn syrup, green food colouring and water to make it shiny so that it looked fresh. We airbrushed the bun and added some sesame seeds afterwards.
It was great fun to make and I hope to make more cakes imitating other foods soon.
