Teal and Orange Beach Wedding

I love being able to give nice wedding gifts to my good friends. This was a gift for my friend who got married today. And yes, look in the background, I live here! (I took these photos myself, easy when you have such a beautiful place to photograph!) The background is a picture of Pamlico Sound, on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Many people are choosing the Outer Banks for destination weddings.
Okay, about the cake: It’s all vanilla cake with vanilla butter cream with white chocolate and chocolate seashells. This morning at the last minute, I decided the top two tiers needed some Teal and Orange to match the rest of the wedding so I made about 100 of the tiny flowers. (fondant and gum paste mix) I love the wedding topper my friend chose for her cake and it all pulls together. She found the wedding topper online and had them custom painted to match her and her new husband.
