This was my latest cake, made for a wedding on Monday past (9/4/12). The inspiration for the cake was the fact that the bride had got engaged at Tiffany’s in New York. She wanted figures of herself and the groom on the cake and figures of their pet whippets. She also wanted a madeira tier, a 3 layer carrot cake tier with orange buttercream and the chocolate brownie tier on top. There were accents of ivory sugarpaste ribbon and tissue and diamante trim. Of all the cakes I’ve made this one tested me the most, but it all came together in the end.
