My First Wedding Cake

This was my first wedding cake made for a wedding on the 31st of December 2011. The bride wanted something simple and understated, but tall enough not to be swamped by the surroundings. The cake consists of a rich brandy soaked fruit cake, madeira sponge with jam and buttercream and the now very popular chocolate brownie cake. The bride took time out from her honeymoon to thank me for the cake and sent me not one, but two thank you cards. It’s always good to know your hard work is appreciated. : )
