This children’s book-themed cake was created for a baby shower. The mommy-to-be is a teacher and her favorite book is “The Giving Tree.” I also have a degree in elementary education so I have a deep, deep love for children’s literature. Making this cake made me very happy. I was also really fortunate in that I have two children and already had ALL of these books around my house!
It’s basically a three-tiered cake, each tier being carved at the ends to look like stacked books.
