Hello This is my first cake upload to CakesDecor! This is a 12×16″ cake all hand painted using powders and shellac.
It was for an artists 70th Birthday, it is one of his favorite paintings and on studying in detail I have grown to love it too. It was all a complete surprise, when his wife came to collect it she cried as she was so thrilled. Apparently they had real trouble cutting into as they didn’t want to destroy it and looked at it for an hour first. I was really pleased with this as I haven’t really done much painting and this is the first picture I have ever painted on a cake. I hope you like it. :)
