I made these for the wonderful teachers at my children’s school. Thought I would pay tribute to how invaluable teachers are in developing a love of reading in our kids, by topping the cupcakes with miniature, edible books. I chose books that represent the classic favourites as well as some of the books the teachers have taught the kids throughout the years. I also included a wonderful anti-bullying book, Dear Bully of Mine, which was authored by one of the teachers at their school. The reaction from the teachers was just wonderful. They were so surprised and touched, almost to the point of tears. Love it when something I make creates such a genuine emotional reaction that makes people feel special. That’s what it’s all about for me.
