This was my first wedding cake. The design was a collaboration of the brides and my ideas from a photo she showed me. The couple designed their own monogram and wanted it incorporated onto the cake. I copied it and made it to the size I needed then had it copied onto an icing sheet. I had to hand cut that out to fit onto the fondant plaque then I outlined the whole thing with RI painted in silver luster dust mixed with vodka. I made the silver rosettes from a mold then used edible silver glitter and used silver luster dust on the diamonds. When they saw the cake they were really thrilled at how it turned out. For me it was a relief mixed with happiness when I saw their faces light up. The next one won’t be so scary (I hope).
