Here is my new cake, for the birthday of a sweet little girl , commissioned by her aunt.
They wanted me to choose a color palette which was warm, yet feminine and very “Indian”
We chose the design after trying to hunt down a similar elephant dressed up for the special day.
The gentle magnificence of elephants has long held a special place in Indian society.Indian elephants are decorated as a traditional practice when holding religious ceremonies. This is often done by the Indians in Kerala and the residents of this Indian community, love, groom and give these elephants a prestigious place to stay.
The cake was a little difficult to balance, in that using RKT exclusively and then grilling my brains to get that to stand tall and well supported, since it weighed a whooping 1 lb .

So here were have a little girl, dressed in the special birthday dress in pink and a little shimmer, taking a royal ride on her special day . This cake is very close to my heart. Hope you like it too!
