“Whenever a baby giggles, an angel is smiling too!”… That’s the verse written on the back of the handmade mosaic angel (picture on right) that was offered as a favor when my nephew was born. I made this cake to celebrate Teo’s first month in this world and because he is leaving soon as my brother works abroad!!! It took me 4 hours to “glue” the mini ruffles on this round cake. I also tried a new filling (good to try on family :-) with layers of 70% dark chocolate and a layer of creme de marrons d’Ardeche with bits of meringue (reminiscent of Mont Blanc flavors).
