Leather Album Cake

I was asked to make a cake for 200 people for a celebration party. The Colonia Bitritesse ( a Canadian church group in Toronto) was celebrating the 50th Anniverary of Maria S. S di Costantinopoli. I used an edible image to create this old looking leather album. I also make a simple slab cake to go with it.

Apparently, people kept trying to open up the book so they had to put up a sign and have the DJ announce that the album was not real and that it was a cake. LOL Very happy with how this turned out…they loved it too!
