I covered the cake in fondant, then rolled out a thick piece of fondant and using a small oval cutter, cut the pieces. I looked at a picture of a toolbox and and placed the pieces onto the cake to match what I saw. Then I airbrushed the silver over the cake and then applied silver disco dust. I hope this helps.
