Today is my sister’s & brother-in-law’s golden wedding anniversary. I wanted to make a special cake for them so decided in a 2 tier. Bottom tier is vanilla Madeira with vanilla buttercream & raspberry conserve filling. Top tier is a 6" lemon Madeira with lemon buttercream filling. I used ivory fondant & a prayed with lustre dust to give a lovely sparkly finish before adding the flowers, which had also been dusted with lustre dust. The idea & love bird toppers were inspired by a cake by Scrummy Mummy.
Just a hobby baker but love seeing other people's work & aspire to creating something as beautiful one day.
