Spice Girl's 21st Cake

My friend wanted me to make her cake for her 21st, I was super excited about it until she said she wanted all 5 spice girls on top of a union jack cake! Of course I said yes because she’s awesome & I wanted to make her dream come true – but inside I was freaking out!! How was I going to make spice girls! and have them actually look like spice girls!! I didn’t like the cake until I had got everything on & then I loved it! I love the figures, although they don’t look enough like spice girls – I’m sure you can figure out who’s who from what they are wearing & their hair :) I watched tutorial’s that Liz from Artisan Cake Company put on you tube over & over again to try & get my facial features right… still learning.. but overall happy with the outcome!

You did an awesome job Keren! Figures are not easy but you can tell who is who so you did great. I have the same worries about doing figures so I always warn clients that I can do a representation or caricature of whoever they want in sugar, so they will have identifiable features but will not look exactly like the person and usually they are more than happy with that. I love the British flag as the design on the cake =D
