Snoopy and Woodstock

Cake by SweetBee posted 424 days ago 334 views 2 times favorited 3 comments Add to Favorites

This was a cake for one of my best friends Jack and Jill that was held on St. Patricks Day. It’s all marble cake. Bottom tiered filled with a whisky chocolate whipped icing, middle/top tier filled with baileys irish cream. Covered in mmf. Snoopy made from RKT and covered in fondant. Jelly belly jelly beans filled the pot of gold as it’s the groom to be’s favorite candy.

I’m pleased with the top 2 tiers but unfortunately the bottom tier was a hot mess. My friend didn’t care about that, she loved the top but I’m still bummed as I have never had that happen before. :/ I used a whipped icing for filling and did not dam with buttercream, thinking that could have been my issue. Any suggestions on how to ensure it does not happen again would be welcome. TFL.

I think it looks great. Your Snoopy is so cute and smooth. I’m not that good with RKT to get them nice and smooth like that. You are right, I think that if you dammed it with a thick butter cream it would have contained it better. Nice job!

Thanks! The middle tier came out so smooth but I had used a baileys irish cream buttercream on that one. I don’t know why I didn’t think to dam the bottom tier. Oh well, lesson learned. It didn’t look bad at home but the car ride made a huge difference. :/
