So … I know how hard and expensive can be to make or buy moulds. So…. I make my own with leftover of fondant and tylose. How to make a 3D World Cake . I bake my cake on the shape of a ball. Ganache it to join to sides together and to correct imperfection this also will give more strength to your ball. I always open my fondant bigger than the size I need, special for a round shape. and I smooth it with a piece of fondant. So for this topper I used styrofoam but you can use the same technique for a real cake with edible image. ;) I cut my styrofoam with a Hot wire using the template as my guide. https://www.facebook.com/verusca.walker#!/hotwirefoamfactory?fref=tsI use a sand block to smoothe my styrofoam and cream shortening to stick my fondant.And them I just cut the images from my template and glue it to the fondant with tylose glue. ;)It is easy quick and incredible effective.

So …. I am back from Holiday down the coast of NSW. On my trip I visited a scrapbook shop call Amanda’s of Mogo. And I saw this beautiful Wood Florishes. Spotlight have them too and they are very cheap. ;) Around $3.00 each. Cool right ??? And they are perfect for making moulds and embossing. Fantastic!!!!!! Don’t forget you can use leftover fondant for make your moulds. ;)
