This is an ideal gift for any woman on mother day or even a birthday. Can be made into a large or mini cake size.
I made these for a woman who gave these as gifts on International Women’s Day to her female employees.
I baked my mini cakes as usual.These are my Chocolate Pound cakes with vanilla buttercream layered and Chocolate Ganache on the outside.Recipes can be found on my blog. (link below) Left the domes on, in fact I used one spare mini cake to help build the dome.

Tools I used to help make the stand
I used 12inch, 10inch and 8inch cake boards! You can get these in all different colours check with your local stockists or check online! they are a little more expensive than the silver ones but these fitted in with my fire engine theme :)
I used some already coloured red fondant, and coloured some white fondant to make yellow and I mixed some yellow with a little bit of red to get an orange colour
I used 8inch & 6inch cake dummies ...

Another method for ganaching round cakes based on the Upside Down Buttercream method.This method removes the need for a ganaching “lid” or board the same size as the baseboard – It can be extremely difficult to find two boards exactly the same size and shape, unless you cut them yourself – I’m too bone lazy to do that :)
