Fondant grass using a sieve

70 days ago by JustForTheCakeOfIt | 24 comments »

I just posted this on facebook today and thought I’d share with all of you here. It was a trick I learned in College and still use today. It’s my first tutorial and quite simple; but, it is useful if you’ve just run out of royal icing or buttercream, lost that grass tip, want your grass a bit finer than from a garlic press or don’t yet have an extruder. Hopefully it will be helpful to a few of you. Thanks for looking. :) You only need 5 tools:■a mesh sieve■a thi...

Make FAST Alphabet Blocks

79 days ago by Fernanda Abarca | 10 comments »

Hi all !!! Here is a quick little tutorial on an easy and fast way to make Alphabet ( or any other type) of blocks. It’s fast and you don’t have to worry about things drying and you save on fondant. Be sure to use shortening for glue and NOT vodka. As any water or vodka dissolves the sugar cubes completely. The font is so hard to see because I put this together on my iphone. So here are the instructions in case you can’t read it. 1. Buy some sugar cubes in the s...

My Moulds #1: Hello everybody! Just wanted to show you my moulds... Tell me what you think!

99 days ago by MammamiaMoulds | 0 comments »

Hello! My name is Marta and a couple of years ago I started making my own moulds, as I was using them for my polymer clay projects and I wasn’t happy with the quality and prices of the moulds I was using. Little did I know that these moulds are used by cake decorators to make beautiful creations! Today I have a facebook page called Mamma&Mia Moulds and I sell over 200 moulds. What I like the most about the facebook oage is that I have made a lot of new friends, and with one of them ...
