This is my recipe for Vanilla Marshmallow Fondant. It’s very smooth to work with, drapes beautifully, and tastes somewhat like candy corn. I’ve been asked for the recipe, so I figured I’d finally write it down and share it. It’s color is a perfect match to my homemade butter cream. It is not a bright white…more an ivory. Ingredients: 4 1/2 C sifted all purpose flour 3 C white sugar 1 C good quality unsweetened cocoa powder 1 C vegetable oil 3 C water (or you can substitute 1 C of water for 1 C of almond or soy milk for a denser/richer cake) 3 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 C vanilla flavoring or 2 Tbsp of pure vanilla extract Directions: Sift dry ingredients together and whisk well.
